What Happens When Chakras Get Blocked and How To Unblock Them

loveunitesin

In the last article, we discussed the different types of Chakras. Let's recap briefly. Chakras are several energy centers in your body that connect to different nerve bundles and internal organs.

If one of these energy centers becomes blocked, you may suffer physical or emotional symptoms associated with that chakra.

What does it mean to have a Chakra blocked or unbalanced? And how to unblock a Chakra when that happens?

Let’s find out in this article.

What happens when a Chakra is unbalanced?

There might be a lack of energy flow or an excess of energetic activity in a chakra, which will result in diverse consequences.

When a chakra lacks vitality, it is difficult to convey the traits connected with that chakra.

When a chakra is hyperactive, the traits it represents become a dominant factor in a person's life. This can have physical as well as emotional consequences.

The first chakra, for example, is concerned with security, survival, and the foundation of our lives.

When it is inactive, it might manifest as sadness and insecurity. When there is an excess of energy, it might manifest as recklessness without prudence or hoarding because you must more to feel safe.

What could lead to an imbalanced Chakra?

Too much stress, whether physical or emotional, can cause one or more chakras to get out of balance.

Personal behaviors such as poor physical alignment or posture, consuming unhealthy foods, or engaging in self-destructive behavior can all contribute to chakra imbalance.

How does a blocked Chakra impact your health?

Generally, the location of an out-of-balance chakra may impact the areas of your body that are close to that chakra. This comprises the organs, bones, joints, and tissues in the surrounding region.

Psychologically, chakra imbalances can lead to emotional abnormalities. This may result in greater rage, despair, fear, or indecision.

It is critical to pay attention to both psychological and physiological feelings since they can inform one another and help to identify the underlying reason for the experience.

Prolonged imbalance can result in physical sickness and illness, and mental health concerns such as sadness or anxiety.

How can you unblock a Chakra?

Pranayama a.ka. breathing techniques and meditation can go a long way in addressing the imbalance in a chakra. However, there are some yoga poses for each chakra to fine-tune its energy.

Root Chakra Tree Pose (Vrksasana), or any balancing poses, like Mountain (Tadasana) or Warrior (Veerbhadrasana), are great for balancing this chakra.

Sacral Chakra Strengthening your pelvic floor, where the sacral chakra resides, such as Bridge Pose (Setu Bandhasana), or deep hip openers like Pigeon Pose (Ek Pada Kapotasana), or Lizard Pose, is great for strengthening your sacral chakra.

Solar Plexus Chakra The solar plexus chakra governs your inner fire and is located around your center. As a result, core strengthening poses like Boat (Navasana) or Triangle (Trikonasana) are excellent for activating your abs and restoring balance to this chakra.

Heart Chakra The heart chakra is the unification point between the lower and higher chakras. It indicates our ability to connect with others on a deeper level

Heart openers like Camel Pose (Ustrasana) or Wheel Pose (Urdva Dhanurasana) unclog this chakra.

Throat Chakra This is the communication center. Poses like Plow (Halasana) and Fish (Matsyasana) open up the throat chakra.

Third Eye Chakra Poses such as Forward Fold (Uttanasana) or Folded Eagle (Garudasana) are great for the third eye.

We can manifest a dream into physical reality when we connect our higher self, represented by our upper bodies, with the more grounded aspects of our bodies - our legs - in these positions.

Crown Chakra Our higher selves are controlled by the crown chakra. Your crown chakra is strengthened by the corpse posture or Savasana, which connects you to the eternal self, or the soul.

I have to admit that the last one is my favorite of all :)

I guess if we give just 2 mins to each posture or asana, we will be gifting us a lot of good physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Now that I am telling you to do it, I, myself, am going to do these daily.

Let us hold each other accountable.
