Top 5 Websites That Pay Plenty To Write

habibily

Good day all! As I’m sipping down my cup of coffee, I can see the fireball about to drown, and the sky looks beautiful as ever. You wouldn’t be reading this if I failed to feel the words running through my veins. And I’m blessed to be able to type them down. This is to every writers out there. Let’s get through 2021 with some good knowledge and better opportunities.

Further down, I’ll be sharing the 5 websites that’ll pay you well just to write them original, error free content. And by well I mean a headache of dollars just for an article, ranging from 500 to 2,000 words. Don’t scratch your head, these are legit, hand vetted ones that I’ve tried and earned from already. 1 or 2 of these websites might be hard to get paid with. But you’re hitting jackpot if you somehow manage to get past the editors. Simply put, if you’ve got quality, they’ve got plenty of dollars to bribe you. I’m not gonna turn this intro into a whole post. That being said, below is what you came here for.

LONGREADS

Longreads, found in 2009, deals with articles in almost any niche. They’re after blog posts, memoirs, reading lists, short interviews, book reviews, critical essays, personal essays, long-form journalism, and investigative projects. Just as the name implies, they need 800–6,000 words depending on the category you choose to write.

Their pay rate per article range between $250-$1,500. You can read more and submit your pieces here, and keep in mind that while sending in your submission, assign the reviewal of your submission to an editor in correspondence to the category(they’ve listed names of editors of each category. Just choose one editor for your submission and mention it along with your submission form. This is to make sure that the respective editor will attend to your submission, rather than it being passed around).

LISTVERSE

Listverse is a magazine drowning in listicles. All they ever crave for is well-written, original listicles about anything normal, but happening unusually around the world. An example would be “10 Peaceful Items Made Out Of Deadly Weapons”.

With over 15 million readers a month, Listverse have made an arsenal of listicle wonders! Talking about their pay rate, they pay $100 for every articles accepted, around 1,500 words with at least 10 lists. Plus, they choose an article with most views each month, offering it a reward of $1,000.

They also give their writers the freedom to promote their blog, twitter account, or books. Just mention it in the submission page and they’ll make sure to consider it.

COPYHACKERS

These people love publishing quality content about freelancing, startups, copywriting, or marketing stuff. They only take in thoroughly researched, practical articles that are written in a first-person perspective. They won’t accept anything less than 2,000 words unless it is heavenly and out-of-the-earth kinda awesome.

Another thing they’ve put emphasize on is the headline. Meaning your work, no matter how well written it is, won’t even be considered if your headline sucks. One last thing to be sure of while writing for them is to oppose a concept. This would be an example. Or they’re asking writers to juxtapose two things writers care about, like in the post “How Your Daily Caffeine Fix Is a Silent Killer of Success.”

You may send in your submission to this email. Copyhackers pay exactly $325 for every accepted piece.

INFORMED COMMENT

Founded by Juan Cole, this publication deals with anything politics. They seek pieces between 800 to 1,000 words, mainly contrasting on policies in the U.S, Middle Eastern, and South Asian politics.

They pay out $100 per article accepted. If you are an enthusiast in politics, and got the knack for transforming your knowledge into words, this could be your opportunity. You may go here for submissions.

Smashing Magazine

Smashing magazine relates to anything about web design and developing. If you’ve got coding skills, tips and tricks to share, you have a place in this throng of coders. I’m not actually familiar with coding but my close friend shares coding tips and he’s been earning for more than a month now.

They’ll accept any quality content about web design and development, and it could be tutorials, opinions, ultimate guides and case studies. Their pay rate ranges from $50 to $200.

They have a whole page of guide with the process of writing for them. Make sure to check it out here.

While submitting, include a proposed outline of what you’re trying to share, along with links to your past writings. You may explore more here, and submissions in this page.

I’m happy to hold the opportunity to share them with you amazing people. Walking through this year, I hope this leads you all to better and wider opportunities. It took me just a few minutes to write it all out and the sun I talked about earlier didn’t yet set.

these are legit, hand vetted ones that I’ve tried and earned from already.

There were 9 websites that I tested with but only these 5 have paid me till now. 2 of the rest accepted my articles and I’m waiting for payment so I’ll hold them for another conversation, another day. The rest 2 rejected me so I better not talk about them, but I’ll give it a try again soon and see if it works. Make sure to follow everything I pointed out for each website.
