DeSo Positive User Experience Explained | CloutPub

Referrals are coming. Be nice to the new people.

At some point, a referrals feature will be turned on where the DeSo platform will reward users who bring in new users. Maybe @Nader will announce this week?

To get All of US ready for this, I would like to share a bit from my 86 days of experience on the platform.

TL;DR - Be nice to the new people.

I joined BitClout mid-July after reading an article on Medium @ClementBourcart?. I was, at the time, just learning about Cryptocurrency and Blockchain based dApps. And, I was deeply concerned about the failings of the corporate monopoly social networks.

My engagement chart on ProsperClout.com shows that after an initial period of activity, I basically lurked on the platform for a couple of months, and then suddenly, toward the end of September, I fully engaged. What happened here?

I would like to say that finding my community here (@photographersCorner, @YogaAndWellness) is what sparked the growth in my engagement. The truth, however, is that I received some nice support/investment from @marioNawfal's @creatorfund, and from @doodles. The validation was awesome. Really, really, awesome.

But even more powerful than that, was the sense that I now had resources with which to invest/support others. I immediately spread small bits of investment love to all the active folks who I had been lurking over the prior weeks. This activity of "giving support" felt ten times better than the already amazing feeling of "receiving support." Man, I tell you, I was hooked.

At that point, I was ready to fully engage via posts, comments, likes, diamonds, and re-posts. I started to seriously envision ways that I can help build on this radical new human-communication-expression technology. I was ready to ๐Ÿš€ ๐ŸŒ• with ๐Ÿ’Ž ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿผ, but more than that, I was ready to roll up my sleeves and do the work.

So, as we receive waves of new folks on the network, keep in mind the amplifying effects of your investment/support. Keep in mind that you can be the catalyst that transforms a lurker to an active community member. Give advice. Give investment/support. Give diamonds (2 or 3 of them). Make sure the new folks know they are seen and heard. Some of them will be DeSo's best amplifiers.

I hope this resonates with you. I am giving/receiving via @alanzuckerphoto. Let's connect.
